Blood Upon Us

His blood be on us, and on our children
The Jews all screamed and cried
Release unto us Barabbas
Let Jesus be crucified.
A murderer had been sentenced
But the Jews were not satisfied
They demanded the murderer go free
And Jesus be crucified.
They got their wish it seems
Something that’s hard to deny
Jesus blood was upon them
And Jesus was crucified.
The gentiles also had a hand
When Jesus was being tried
They hung Jesus on the cross
And Jesus was crucified.
His blood be upon us
Today they beg and cry
They thank God for the cross
And the day Jesus was crucified.
God looked down from heaven
And His blood has been applied
They and their children have been blessed
Because Jesus has been crucified.
Wouldn’t it be a great day
If all the world would cry
His blood be on us, and on our children
Now that Jesus has been crucified.
