Cats
Kill another baby
Put it in a sack
Throw it in the river
Like we used to treat our cats.
The world is over populated
Don't you think it's right?
That's the way it was
People used to treat their cats.
But that would be too upsetting
So we don't think about that
It would probably upset someone
That is, about the cats.
So we take them in and love them
And give their heads a pat
Hug them to our breasts
We take care of our cats.
Or take in another dog
Rescue every one in sight
Teach them some manners
Not to mistreat the cats.
We should be good to animals
After all, it's only right
How long you live may depend
On how you treat a cat.
You can shorten or lengthen your life
Maybe you should think about that
The Bible says on how you treat animals
Does your future depend on a cat?
But what about our babies?
Does God care about that?
Because they're made in the image of God
They're more important than a cat.
They reach out their little hands
And we give their hands a whack
We used to raise our children
But now we raise our cats.
Soon they will be gone forever
Forever as the night
But children will live on forever
Don't know about the cats.
I was hungry and you fed me
Will Jesus be able to say that?
Or did His people go hungry
While we loved and fed a cat.
Jesus said for us to love
Guess we should love with all our might
Am I now excluded from your space?
Can you fill it with a cat?
Mommy, I love you
Have you ever heard that?
It can come from a baby's lips
But it will not come from a cat.
People will have unnatural affections
In the last days, depend on that
The Bible says that is true
Instead of a baby, we want to love a cat.
I guess we will decide what's important
Is it really worth a fight?
Will we spend eternity with a child?
Or a few years with a cat?
So go ahead and get mad
Really get so uptight
It doesn't bother to kill a baby
But you better not hurt a cat.
I've overstayed my welcome
It's time for me to scat
Go out and hug a baby
Or go home and hug a cat.
There doesn't have to be a choice
You can do both this and that
You can go home and have a baby
You can also have a cat.
Don't trade eternity for the temporary
The future is where it's at
Think long before you answer
