Don’t Forget

God wants to forgive you
But there has to be a Way
For Him to remember to forget
Your sins on Judgment Day.
God cannot overlook sin
Justice says someone must pay
God doesn’t forget to remember
But He has found a Way.
He has come down to earth
As a sacrifice He must pay
So your sins will be forgotten
When you meet Him on that day.
God has suffered for our sins
On the cross where He hung and paid
Our sins have not just been forgotten
They have been cleansed away.
Love covers a multitude of sins
But blood cleanses them away
Love can help you forget
Let God’s Spirit show the Way.
Into the Lake of Forgetfulness
God throws our sins today
He never brings them up again
They forever vanish away.
God didn’t reject you
He didn’t throw you away
He forgot to remember
Do you remember today?
Don’t forget to remember
How God has treated you today
Don’t forget to remember
God has taken your sins away.
You may say, Forget it
To forgive, there’s no way
But God set the example
And sent it to you today.
There is a Lake of Forgetfulness
Where God throws all your sins away
And never brings them up
They’re forgotten when you pray.
What you sow, you must reap
You may need mercy yourself someday
If you forgive, you will be forgiven
Don’t forget to remember this true and living Way.
God has chosen to forget
He has chosen the Way
He has chosen to remember
Each of us today.
So, don’t forget to remember
To forgive and forget others sins as you pray
Don’t forget to remember
You’re become more like God this Way.
