Happy Birthday

We wrap our Christmas presents
On which we spent our pay
And hope they are received in love
As we give them all away.
Whose birthday do we celebrate
Who do we worship on this day
He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords
He is the Living Way.
Has He been invited to His party
Will He be there on His day
Will He be welcomed by everyone
Or will He be turned away.
We give His presents to others
What more is there to say
Strange birthday it would seem
But it’s always been that way.
But He probably doesn’t mind too much
The presents we give on His day
He spent His life giving to others
He’s always giving away.
He taught us by His example
He gives come what may
He taught us to give by giving Himself
Guess that’s why they call Him The Way.
