He Didn't Look Like A King

He wasn't born high class
He didn't look special or anything
Though He was heir to a throne
He just didn't look like a king.
He looked more like a fisherman
Maybe a carpenter was His thing
He could have passed for a shepherd
But He just didn't look like a king.
He would gain many followers
Over millions He would reign
But He was rejected by His own people
Because He just didn't act like a king.
He didn't live in a fancy castle
He didn't wear any fancy ring
He served others instead of being served
And He just didn't act like a king.
What do you think of Him?
Do you offer Him your everything?
He came to save your soul, you know
Is that acting like a king?
What should a king look like
Tell me if you can explain
How many heirs are walking around
Never looking like a king?
Can you judge a book by its cover?
Is it a fake or the real thing?
The last shall be first and the first shall be last
And the servant shall one day be king.
When you bow down before Him
And give account for everything
And realize your future is in His hands
Will He look more like a king?
What kind of king would you like
Who would you have to reign
Someone who loves you like Jesus did
Or someone who acts more like a king?
He has a kingdom prepared for you
He invites you to come without any strings
Come to Him as you are
Hey, you may not look much like a king.
He will give you eternal life
Out of your belly living waters shall spring
This is called the great exchange
Go from a pauper to a king.
One day He will return
With Him His followers He will bring
He will be riding a white horse then
Looking a lot more like a king.
You can help build His kingdom now
So one day with Him you may reign
And be seated in heavenly places
If today you make Jesus your king.
Look at Him and live
He will make your heart sing
Look at Him as your Savior
Then He will look more like a king.
