a Poem by Roger Montgomery
We can all go to heaven
And for goodness sake
A million years in glory
Is just icing on the cake.
We can all go to heaven
Streets of gold we will rate
A mansion for all of us
That's just icing on the cake.
We can all go to heaven
After a new body remake
We'll be flying around and having fun
That's just icing on the cake.
We can all go to heaven
No more enemies to placate
Be with our Saviour forever
That's just more icing on the cake.
We can all go to heaven
A mansion for us Jesus will make
No more sickness or pain or death
Just more icing on the cake.
We can all go to heaven
No more medicine to take
Be with our families forever
That's just icing on the cake.
We can all go to heaven
Gardens that time will not dissipate
Roses and flowers we didn't plant
That's just icing on the cake.
We can all go to heaven
A million years will be like a day
A new body free of sickness
That's just icing on the cake.
A city of light and love
I can hardly wait
To see the expression on your face
That's just icing on the cake.
We can all go to heaven
Won't you pray, for goodness sake
Because if I see you in heaven when I get there
That will really be the icing on the cake.
