Sometimes things catch our imagination
And make our hearts feel warm
Sometimes we like to catch thoughts
And have them tag along.
Sometimes we like to play
Jump or walk or run
Emotions and thoughts can be also be expressed
By making rhyming words into a poem.
Sometimes people like to laugh
Sometimes they sing a song
Sometimes they sit and cry
Sometimes they write a poem.
Sometimes they like to yell
Sometimes they may look forlorn
Sometimes they like your thoughts
Sometimes they leave them alone.
Sometimes people like to be with you
Sometimes they want to be alone
Sometimes they like to talk
Sometimes they write a poem.
Sometimes what they write doesn’t rhyme
Cold doesn’t rhyme with warm
Sometimes they call it poetry
Sometimes they call it poems.
So when you want to write
About the rain, wind, or storm
You may want to express your feelings
And write them in a poem.
Sometimes it’s time to go
When inspiration starts to wan
So we will just say Good-
Bye to this poem..
