Don’t duck your responsibility
Has it ever occurred to you
Might as well be up front
The lead duck has the best view.

You can tag along if you wish
Second place may seem to do
But life can look a lot better
If you will just change your view.

Flying is better than walking
Ask the ones who do
Don’t be grounded in good weather
The lead duck has the best view.

When someone asks what you saw
Will you say nothing new
Someone else was in first place
The lead duck had the best view.

Flap your wings and fly away
This principle may apply to you
Maybe one day it will sink in
The lead duck has the best view.
